Reporting

Investor statements, out the door from the same screen

The month is closed and the numbers are right. What is left is telling fourteen people what their money did: which in a spreadsheet workflow is where an evening goes, and where the copy-paste errors live.

No credit card. Nothing is charged until your first 30 days are over.

A report is built from blocks

You compose once. Each block knows how to fill itself in, and the ones that carry a participant’s own figures fill themselves in per recipient.

The series overview on a phone, showing koers and fee terms per series
  • Fund summary

The month’s headline figures: assets, return, flows and fees.

  • Series table

Koers from opening to closing, net return and units outstanding, per series.

  • Fee summary

Management and performance fees for the period, laid out.

  • Participant metrics

Personalised: this recipient’s units, value, return this period and since inception.

  • Free text

Your own commentary, able to address the recipient by name.

  • Disclaimer

Prefilled from the fund’s reporting settings so the legal line is never forgotten.

  • Dividend tax summary

Personalised: gross, withheld and net per country for the year.

Sending, and knowing it arrived

  • Preview as a specific participant

Before anything goes out you can see the exact statement one named recipient will receive, personalised blocks and all.

  • A PDF per participant

Each recipient gets their own PDF statement attached to the email, in the language configured for the fund. Dutch or English.

  • One delivery row per recipient

Every send is recorded per person with a status. A failure is visible as a failure, and can be retried on its own.

  • Nobody gets a meaningless statement

A recipient with no figures for the period is skipped rather than sent an empty one, and a recipient with no email address is recorded as failed rather than silently dropped.

  • Frozen numbers

Computed blocks store their values when you save the report. Recomputing the month afterwards cannot change a statement that has already gone out.

  • Year-end in one action

Choose a year with locked months and the annual report is drafted for you, dividend withholding summary included, ready to edit.

What this is really about

The month is closed and the numbers are right. What is left is telling fourteen people what their money did, and that is where the evening goes: a template, a spreadsheet of per-person figures, and a mail merge that has to be checked because the failure mode is sending one investor another investor's statement.

A report here is composed once out of blocks, and the blocks that carry a recipient's own figures fill themselves in per recipient. You can preview the exact statement one named participant will receive before anything goes out. Each person gets their own PDF attached to the email in the fund's reporting language, every send is recorded as its own row with a status so a failure is visible as a failure, and the computed figures are frozen when you save so recomputing the month afterwards cannot change a statement that has already been sent.

Questions about this

What happens if one send fails?

It is recorded as a failed delivery for that recipient and can be retried on its own, without resending to everybody. A recipient with no email address is recorded as failed rather than silently dropped, and a recipient with no figures for the period is skipped rather than sent an empty statement.

Can I produce the annual statement in one go?

Choose a year whose months are locked and the annual report is drafted for you, with the dividend withholding summary included, ready to edit before it goes out. It uses the same blocks as a monthly statement, so the year-end document is not a separate format to maintain.

All questions and answers

Send yourself a statement

Set up a fund, close a month and mail yourself the report. It is the clearest way to judge what your investors will actually receive.

In your first session

  1. Create the fund, set its reporting language, and add yourself as a participant alongside the real ones.
  2. Close a month so there are real figures for the report blocks to carry.
  3. Compose the report, preview it as a named participant, and send it to yourself with the PDF attached.
